Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses

Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses (BPCG) is a community garden in the centre of Lambeth’s Brockwell Park. Our beautiful, one-acre site includes an orchard, a series of demonstration gardens, a walled herb garden and two large greenhouses. We want to create a garden where all can learn, play and grow together. We run a garden volunteering scheme, school visits, family events, courses and workshops.

At BPCG, people learn about conserving the environment and wildlife, to appreciate nature and get involved in sustainable gardening and food growing – and all in a very friendly community spirit. We host school visits and children’s activities on Monday to Wednesday. We are open to the public and for garden volunteering four days a week, Thursday to Sunday. We hold many events throughout the year including gigs, supper clubs and free community events.

Thanks to our large greenhouses, we are able to propagate a range of edible and ornamental plants which are available for sale on our shop along with our freshly harvested produce and our honey, jams, pickles and more. This raises valuable funds for the charity. Our charity is run by a board of trustees, our part time staff and a dedicated band of over 100 volunteers.
