Slade is an exciting mixed use community play space incorporating outdoor and indoor play facilities for ages 6-16 years old, the One O’Clock Club for under 5 years old and a Food Growing Area open to all.
Our Adventure Playground offers over an acre of safe, staffed space where children & young people can come to play, make new friends, develop skills & try new things.
We run an array of workshops on the site for people of all ages and backgrounds with a particular focus on sustainable food growing and associated practical expertise.
In 2019 we began work on our food growing area constructing a number of raised beds, a poly tunnel, a pond, food forest, composting facilities and an enclosure for our on site bees. We are constantly growing and developing this feature of the site enhancing our offering to the community.
