How are we going to build a grassroots movement for the Right to Grow in London? Pam Warhurst, founder of the Incredible Edible movement, brought together activists from IE Hackney, IEL, Capital Growth, Nowadays on Earth and the Open University on 10th September to talk about next steps. We agreed to build a learning network over the next year, giving growers the opportunity to grow the movement from the roots.
IEL has also submitted evidence to the Greater London Authority on barriers to food growing for an investigation they are carrying out in the autumn – we’re keeping our fingers crossed this will mean more support for growers!
