We had a wonderful night on 22nd October at the Garden Museum, celebrating all the magnificent gardens, gardeners and food entrepreneurs that are to be found around Lambeth. The Mayor of Lambeth, Christopher Wellbelove, gave the prizes – there were 18 first, and 10 highly commended prizes.

This is our ‘showcase’ evening! A chance to celebrate all the amazing food growing and local food enterprises that are springing up all over Lambeth. A former barren concrete courtyard recently turned into a new and thriving community garden filled with over 60 square metres of edible and ornamental planting, with the help of Urban Growth London. Wooden sleepers provided by Forestrall Timber have been used to map out the garden edges as well as a wooden pergola made for climbing plants…

We have been blown away by the entrants to our Blooming Lambeth competition. Our photographer is out and about as we speak taking professional pics of the top three in each category. We can’t wait to present an exhibition of all of those at our awards ceremony in October (Thursday 12th) at the Garden Museum….
