Volunteer opportunities: community gardens need you!

 

In ‘ordinary’ times, our gardens provide volunteering opportunities. For now, this is a little up in the air, but check out the gardens which ordinarily offer volunteering; it’s a great way to learn new skills and meet people from your neighbourhood.

Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses (BPCG) has a very well organised volunteering programme. Find out more here – volunteering is Thurs-Sun, 10am-5pm

The Larks welcomes volunteers every Saturday, 11am-2pm

Loughborough Farm welcomes volunteers Tuesdays and Saturdays, 1-3pm

Oasis welcomes volunteers on

Myatts Fields Park has a greenhouse planting volunteer programme on Fridays

Southwell Road Garden welcomes volunteers every second Sunday of the month, 12-2pm, contact alison.jones54@btinternet.com

Streatham Common Community Garden welcomes volunteers on Wednesdays and Sundays between 11 and 3pm (drop in any time). Tools provided. Next door Rookery Gardens (on behalf of  The Streatham Common Co Operative) runs volunteer sessions on Fridays, 11-1pm

Thorlands Gardens is looking for volunteers and will be releasing a rota soon, contact thorlandsgardens@gmail.com
