Loving nature in Agnes Riley

We had a wonderful day in the sun at Agnes Riley park on Saturday 3rd May, with dozens of people enjoying pond dipping, an introduction to foraging, learning how to build a birds nest, creating a home for stag beetles and a beautiful free vegan lunch in the One O’Clock Club. More than 40 adults and children were treated to a tour of the park’s food growing garden and took away broad and climbing beans, lettuce, broccolli and many more veg to plant in their gardens and windowsills. Many thanks to organisers from Agnes Riley food growing garden and Friends of Agnes Riley for their hard work in putting the event together, and to Awards for All for funding the event.
