Thorlands Gardens is the first Camberwell Market Garden in over fifty years. Inaugurated in October 2019, this resident volunteer led project grows high quality produce in Walled and Forest Garden settings. The project aims to highlight the need for more zero miles food, offer valuable growing experience, vocational training and internships which will lead to much needed part-time work. This will be offered primarily to residents and locals. The mission is to support a social enterprise partnership which will train up interns , and will comprise of growing, planning, harvesting, storage and selling. The first stall will be held on harvest days on site, and as capacity builds at local farmers markets.
