We are asking residents to suggest green areas they would like to improve.
We then organize planting events, where we plant together with the residents and an expert gardener in order to achieve the following results:
– increase biodiversity
– grow food and herbs for cooking
– improve the quality of the space
– improve social connections between neighbours.
We have been doing this using the Mayor of London’s Grow Back Greener Funds, and we have been involving the housing associations and the garden contractors, which have provided help and materials on the day.
We now have three areas that are being gardened on the estate – they can be found here
1st garden:
71 Abbots park, Sw2 3QX;
2nd garden:
66 Challice Way, SW2 3RD;
3rd garden:
45 Roupelle Road, SW2 3EP
