With partners across the borough, we take a look at the response by the Council and other local community organisations to the current crisis of food provision. We set out an ambitious vision for a more food resilient borough, with food growing on every corner and launch a partnership project to map potential and existing food growing spaces across the whole of Lambeth in partnership with Arup. For more info on this project, please go here.
We are excited to welcome Pam Warhurst, co-founder of Incredible Edible Todmorden (back in 2008), and now Chair of Incredible Edible CIC, a national movement for community change through food. If you’ve never watched Pam’s TED talk, watch it today and be inspired (it’s only been watched 1,000,000 times).
Virginia Nimarkoh – founder of Lambeth Larder – has worked tirelessly to create this invaluable resource – for emergency food and support during the pandemic.
Kate Hogarth will be talking us through the draft Lambeth Food Poverty Action Plan
and then we will introduce our new mapping project
