Estates Biodiversity Easter Holiday Round up!

Froglife printmaking at Hive Cafe

We kicked off the Easter Holidays with two back to back workshops with Froglife on April 9th. Local artist Claire led a fantastic creative printmaking session, where we learned all about frogs, newts and toads, before creating our own MISSING posters, to spotlight species decline. We even got to meet some newts from Palace Road Nature Garden!

Painting and planting with Angell Town

On April 14th, we painted flower pots with CHIPS youth group at Angell Town, mixed soil and planted tomatoes and beets to take home and grow.

Windowsill Herb Gardens with St Martin’s

On April 15th we spent the afternoon with St Martin’s residents Jackie and Alex, building our own mini herb gardens that can be grown on windowsills indoors. We explored the community garden with some new faces, learning all about growing and cooking with different herbs.

Final Nature Arts Workshop at South London Botanical Institute

On April 18th, we held our final nature arts workshop at SLBI with Scarlet. We explored all things pollinator, drawing and gelli printing our own habitats and looking for bees, butterflies and insects in the garden.

Thanks to everyone who helped make these workshops happen, and to all who attended!
