General:
IEL Corporate Volunteering Days are administered by Incredible Edible Lambeth, the community interest company that supports a network of 120 members and beneficiary food growing groups and 550 individual members in Lambeth. We aim to nurture a localised food network providing an abundance of affordable, nutritious fruit and veg, with a food growing space within 100m of each Lambeth home.
We support more than 100 community growing groups with food growing workshops, an annual seed swap, an annual awards ceremony and conflict management training. We support people to compost, grow food and improve the biodiversity on their housing estates and provide walking trails throughout Lambeth for residents to discover the patchwork of green spaces and community gardens. We advocate for the rights of food growers (Right to Grow, Pesticide Free Towns, No Mow May) and work towards a system that supports food sovereignty for all Lambeth residents.
IEL Corporate Volunteering Days can be booked online and offline. All names of those in the Corporate Volunteering group must be provided to the Coordinator on the field day.
All personal information will be used in accordance with The Data Protection Act 1998.
We aim to ensure that volunteers understand clearly their role and are provided with appropriate information and guidelines.
Failure to adhere to guidance may result in you being asked to cease volunteering.
Volunteers must ensure any fundraising activities adhere to published IEL policies and guidelines, please refer to our fundraising terms and conditions for more detail.
If you do something that threatens or damages the reputation of IEL we will ask you to stop volunteering immediately.
You must fully support the aims and objectives of IEL.
Costs: to be confirmed. We can manage up to 30 people per session, on pre-arranged days.
We run the days come rain or shine. We will only cancel in circumstances such as severe weather or an incident.
