Autumn Day on Palace Road

Palace Road residents gathered on Saturday November 2nd for the estate’s annual Autumn Day, joined by IEL. We planted bulbs for spring, weeded and tidied the planters. We also mulched around the trees with woodchip, before winter sets in. It was a wonderful day, and great to see familiar and new faces!

We planted daffodil/narcissi mix, crocus, blue anemone, tulips, forbesii, muscari and alliums. These will come up over the spring and summer, creating some beautiful colour on the estate and providing vital pollen and nectar for bees and butterflies.

Palace Road and Incredible Edible are working together, as part of the Estates Biodiversity Project. To find out more, visit our Project page.
